Personal data we collect
- Identity and contact: name, email, phone, address, year of birth
- Membership: team, handle, EKA ID, emergency contact details, profile photo
- Match and club activity: appearances, goals and statistics, availability, messages you post on club systems
- Technical: IP address, pages visited, browser and device type, anonymous visitor ID (see our Cookie Policy)
- Enquiries and correspondence you send to the club
Why we use your data
- To run the club: membership, training, team selection, match records, and communications with members
- To keep members and juniors safe (safeguarding), where applicable
- To operate and secure this website
- To understand how the site is used (statistics)
We rely on: performance of a contract or steps at your request (membership); legitimate interests (running the club and website); legal obligation where applicable; and consent where we ask for it explicitly.
Who we share data with
We may share data with: English Korfball Association and leagues (registration and competition); our website and email providers; coaches and committee members who need it for club purposes. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep member data while you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards for club records. Website logs are kept for a limited period and reviewed periodically.
Your rights
You may ask us to: access your data; correct it; erase it in some cases; restrict or object to processing; and receive a copy in a portable format. Contact the committee to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls for member-only areas, and secure handling of passwords. No system is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password for your account.
Children
Junior members’ data is handled with care. Parents or guardians should read our Juniors Code of Conduct and contact us with any concerns.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
