LKA Positions Vacant

The LKA requires the following 2 positions to be filled for the league to run for the 2010/2011 season.

Fixtures Secretary: This is a non-committee position which means that the Fixtures Secretary does not have to attend LKA committee meetings.

Each club in the LKA will provide the Fixtures Secretary with dates and times of their hall bookings and the Fixtures Secretary will compile a fixtures list for each of the LKA indoor leagues. Inevitably there will be some changes throughout the season and the Fixtures Secretary will work with the teams involved to accommodate these changes.

Referees Co-ordinator: This is a non-committee position which means that the Referees Co-ordinator does not have to attend LKA committee meetings. The Referees Co-ordinator will appoint clubs to provide a referee for each match in all LKA indoor senior leagues except for the London Regional League, and deal with any change of referee that may be required throughout the season. The Competitions Co-ordinator will appoint referees to matches in the London Regional League.

Please ensure that your club members are aware that the above two positions are essential for the LKA leagues to operate and that these positions need to be filled at the LKA AGM on Saturday June 5.

Fortunately, the LKA already has a Competitions Co-ordinator willing to stand for next season who will work with and provide assistance for both of the above roles where required. The Referees Co-ordinator will appoint a named referee to London Regional League matches where possible, otherwise the Referees Co-ordinator will appoint clubs to referee matches.

There is also a League Administrator who is willing to stand for next season who will deal with the results, league tables and other administrative issues that may arise throughout the season.

If anyone would like any further information about these two roles please contact Lol Moore - laurence.more AT blueyonder.co.uk
