It's the end of the season!

Another season is over, and Croydon has had its fair share of successes and failures over the 2009/10 Korfball season.

Congratulations to all for your individual and team triumphs - whether it be your first match for CKC, a new goal scoring record, an MVP award, a hard-fought win, or just an amazing goal! And commiserations as well to those facing time off through injury, and also for the 2nd and 3rd team who have slid in to lower leagues next season. Now that the matches have finished, the End of Season Awards are officially open and accepting votes via the front page. To find out who has won you'll have to come and join in the fun at Julia's house on Saturday 15th May for the End of Season Awards BBQ.

I'd also like to invite you to participate in a survey asking about the coaching sessions you have attended this season. To access the survey please click on the link - Survey Monkey

The aim is to provide feedback to the Coach and Committee on how to improve training sessions next season for the benefit of all CKC players. The responses are completely anonymous, and the results will only be viewed by the Committee members and relayed to the Coaching team.

There are a number of tournaments and events happening over the next few months. An important date for your diary is Croydon's famous Summer Tournament on Sunday 27th June. It's sure to be another fun (and exhausting!) day, come rain or shine, with numerous national and international teams attending.

Croydon has also been invited to attend the fantastic Velocitas tournament on August 21st-22nd in Leiderdorp, Holland. Ask anyone whose previously attended, and they’ll recall tall tales of great korfball matches, scrumptious food and beer, and the odd drunken antic too.

The Croydon AGM is set to be held in June (date TBC). This is your chance to have a say in the running of your club normally over cookies and cake.

Details of summer tournaments, socials, and more, will continue to be added and updated over the next few months, so be sure to keep checking the CKC website for updates.
