CKC's 2004 New Recruits

Croydon's 2004/05 New Recruits

Joining the oldest British club so far this close season have been 6 players of varying standard and experience.

Anneka Barretto joins up from arch-rivals Mitcham. This follows sister Marika's defection part way through last season. This is full circle for the Barretto family as they were Croydon members some years ago before leaving to form Trojans. Anneka will be a useful addition to the squad as she is young and has experience from playing the game at various levels and for different clubs.

Kathy and Becky Dean are brand new to the sport and have joined us over the Summer. They are both ex-netballers and younger sister Becky has the distinction of scoring in her first ever game - and it was outdoors!!!

Mohamad Zuhib Munshi or "Zu" joins us from Sheffield Hallam University, having just won the BUSA Korfball Championships. Zu has Indian nationality but is really a local as he went to school at our home ground of Royal Russell. He has now taken up teaching as his profession at a school in Redhill.

Andrew Lam is another new comer to the sport, who has the advantage of living locally!

Natalie Kendall is another new recruit to the game and the club.

Deborah Hinds is another ex-netballer recruit who is new to the game. Deborah lives and works locally and as she works for the Home Office that's about all we can tell you!

This batch of new players follows a good year last year when Phil Aish, Marika Barretto, Leanne Burney, Ross Carr-Taylor, Saskia de Jager, Tammy Kentfield, Suzanne Robinson and Vee Thomas all joined CKC.
