CKC Summer Tournament 2004

For those making a weekend of it, the tournament started in some style with a BBQ and free disco at Lloyd Park on the Saturday before the main event. The night was somewhat dominated by the Holland-Sweden Euro 2004 game as the assembled Dutch masses went mental after their penalties win and with Carr-Taylor on the decks a good time was had by all.

The following day saw the tournament itself, the following 29 teams entered:

Bec
Club Sandwich
Crystal Palace
Family Ties
Highbury
HKVE (Dutch)
Korfball School of Excellence
Kwiek
Littleport Lions
Luno (Dutch)
Mitcham
Munich (German!)
North Downs
Notts
Nova (Dutch)
Oldcats
OZC (Dutch)
Pelham
SGRL
Supernova
The Young and the Old
Tottenham
Trojans
West London
Woking 1
Woking 2
...plus 3 teams from Croydon

And the winners were:
Winners of Division 1 were SGRL, with runners up The Young and The Old
Joint Winners of Division 2 were Mitcham and Kwiek
Joint Winners of Division 3 were Tottenham and Family Ties
Winners of Division 4 were Highbury

Thanks go to all the teams for creating a great atmosphere and keeping Croydon the biggest tournament in the UK. And also a big thanks to all the Croydon helpers without whom the tournament wouldn't be possible.

See you all next year!
